A remarkable journey of perseverance
Sakshi Chadha had built her career in HR, spending a great deal of time in the field perfecting her craft. Working at Barclays, her work ethic was exemplary. She had won many awards and this recognition stood as a testament to her commitment to the company. At the prime of her career, Sakshi made a bold move – she joined Great Place to Study as an Assistant Manager in Business Communications. It was a field she almost knew nothing about and was worried how to take up this new challenge and if she would be able to do justice to her role in the company.
It was when she started working in the company, she realised that GPTS wasn’t a company but rather a family working towards a common goal of refining the education system across the globe. The encouraging environment in GTPS gave her the confidence and guidance to face her job with conviction. Sakshi invested herself in her new job, working on a project for Forbes India magazine. Her dedication soon came to fruition when she single-handedly managed to build a large clientele for the project.
Her journey in the company has been extraordinary, one of perseverance, grit and determination. With her industrious spirit, she has been able to achieve set targets and quite a few recognitions. She was recently awarded, as the best ‘Debutante of the year – sales’ for contributions to the GPTS family and she was all praises for her colleagues and the organisation. “When I joined GPTS I had zero experience of the profile offered to me. I would like to give credit to my colleagues who guided me and brought out the best in me. They actually showed faith in me and I am proud to prove them right” said Sakshi, while accepting her award at the ceremony.

GPTS began as a humble idea to bring about a much-needed change in the Indian education system. Shekhar A Bhattacharjee, Founder & CEO of Great Place to Study wanted to create an organisation that could assist the major stakeholders in the education sector to identify and capitalise on the unprecedented growth and opportunities while providing a transparent platform to connect with the student fraternity around the world.
Great Place to Study presently offers its services to universities/schools across 23 countries in Asia and Europe with offices in New Delhi, Manila and London.
Great Place to Study is engaged in featuring universities and schools, through various media channels like India Today, ET NOW, Republic TV, and publications like Forbes India, with a core focus on happiness framework. All featured programmes by Great Place to Study are branded-content in nature that allow institutes at large to showcase their greatness factors, and overall goals and objectives through a simple storytelling format. GPTS is also engaged in rating and certifying educational institutions on the basis of satisfaction surveys attended by students, parents, alumni and recruiters. The certification is a badge of honour which is bestowed upon institutes after conducting a series of satisfaction surveys.
